Blues Rock Editorial Review
Spooky (2023 Remaster) showcases an exquisite blend of shoegaze and dream pop, making it a must-have for lovers of the genre. With its intricate guitar work and Miki Berenyi's enchanting vocals, the album is celebrated for its ability to evoke nostalgia while remaining fresh. Many fans note that Lush's pop sensibilities shine through amidst layers of effects, creating memorable tracks that satisfy both the intellect and the soul. Critics have pointed out the production style by Robin Guthrie, which some initially found overwhelming, yet over time, it has garnered appreciation for its lush complexity. This remaster breathes new life into a timeless classic, perfect for both old and new fans.
