The batteries can be easily changed by opening a small compartment below the fish. The bowl can hold exactly 1 gallon of water. You should be able to fit 4-5 fishes in the bowl. Many customers seem to enjoy the fish tank set, particularly children. It is entertaining to watch the fish swim and interact, and it makes children feel like they are taking care of a real pet. However, some customers have had issues with the fish not working after a short period of use or at all.
