One chapter is dedicated to folk music from around the world, and the book concludes with suggestions for multi-part improvisation.This volume is suitable for pupils after about one to two years of violin, viola, or cello lessons. As there is frequently a lack of viola players within this particular setting, most pieces are written for three parts - two violins and cello. In the case of a four-part work the option of a violin 3 part in treble clef instead of viola is included. All of the works have been tested over forty years of teaching experience, played and performed many times with beginners. These pieces are also ideal for adults who love to share their musical hobby and enjoy making music together with friends and fellow enthusiasts.About the AuthorBarbara Stanzeleit is the author of the violin method Der kleine Geiger (“The Little Violinist”) and several other educational works. For four decades she ran her own music school for string instruments, where she combined solid instrumental training with a love of making music together—an idea that shaped the school from the very beginning. Alongside her teaching, she has always remained active as a violinist, performing both as a soloist and with ensembles in concerts, as well as in CD and radio productions.
