Rio Grande Games Board Games RIO 499 Editorial Review
Rio Grande Games Concordia: Strategy Board Game, Economic Development, 2-5 Players, 90 Minutes is a compelling entry in the strategy board game genre, set in the Roman Empire. It's well-regarded for its unique card-drafting mechanic where players build trading houses and manage economics against each other, making each game session refreshingly unpredictable. Players appreciate the simple yet deep gameplay that fosters intense strategic planning while allowing for competitive interactions without constant point tracking throughout the game. As one reviewer noted, the tension remains high, and the flow between turns is smooth, keeping everyone engaged until the end. The combination of an engaging theme and straightforward mechanics has made it a favorite for gatherings, appealing to both new and seasoned gamers alike.
