This scroll saw is a good value purchase, with a metal table and a center plate made of tough plastic, and it can be used alongside a shop vacuum. It can cut up to an inch of wood, if not thicker, and can cut gentle curves in 6061 aluminum bars. Users have stated that it is a nice tool for its price and it is also easy to use. However, some adjustments are required as several users have stated that the cutting guide does not properly seat into position and that the plastic blade guard can create a trampoline effect on smaller items. Although the back of the table brace was broken on the scroll saw delivered to one customer, it was repaired and worked fine. While some users feel that it is good for hobby projects, others suggest buying a band saw for thicker stuff. Overall, the product has received mixed reviews.
