Old Skool Accessories Editorial Review

The Old Skool Digital Controller is a decent budget option for those looking for a GameCube or GameBoy Player compatible controller. The plastic mold of the controller is solid, and it does not creak even when one tries to bend it. However, some buttons take more force than others to register, and diagonals are quite difficult to register. The Select button does not seem to be connected up to anything. The D-pad is terrible; pressing down does not work at all, and right only works if one presses really hard, making only reliable movements up or left. Nevertheless, some users have found success in fixing the D-pad issue by inserting punched out holes from thicker paper materials into the circular recesses of the D-pad to regulate the thickness of the button membrane.
