This alcohol thermometer has a range of 0 to 220 F or -20 to 110 C and is 11 3/4 inches long. It is a partial immersion thermometer and cannot be totally immersed in liquid or gas. It also does not come with a certificate of calibration. The response time for temperature changes in air is slow but it is useful for liquid temperature measurement. However, the accuracy seems to be a common issue among customers, with many reporting that it is not useful for their purposes due to inconsistent and inaccurate readings. Some customers have also reported issues with the liquid separating inside the thermometer. It does not seem to be returnable due to the flammable alcohol it contains. Despite these issues, there are some positive reviews which state that it is a simple and reliable product.
